Doing some tests to restore twitter motorsports bots.
Full text search activated!
Instance have been migrated to a new and more powerfull server.
We are now running v2.5.0rc2.
Next steps:
- Try to run elasticsearch for full text search
- Reopen registration
The instance server disk fills faster than expected.

@RaceControl I thought the bots for the main series were quite useful a) to not have to go on Twitter to keep up with them and b) because toots by bots could initiate discussion. Having said that I agree that a disadvantage of #Mastodon is that it doesn't show the number of answers to a toot directly and that stability of the instance is more importan than having the bots active. I'd still like to see them back once there is headroom in terms of performance & time to manage them.
Je ne suis pas opposé au retour de quelques bots de compte twitter si il y a un public pour et l'instance peut herberger des bots maintenus par d'autres que moi.
Faites part de votre point de vue en répondant à ce pouet.

Je pense qu'il vaut mieux favoriser le contenu propre au fediverse plutôt que de reproduire celui provenant de twitter. Je ne compte pas passer plus de temps sur cette question et plutôt me consacrer à améliorer la fiabilité et la stabilité de l'instant, entre autre via sa migration vers un serveur plus puissant (plus d'information prochainement).
À plus long terme je souhaiterais mettre en place un bot qui repouete lorsqu'il identifie un mot croisillons en rapport avec le sport automobile.
